Who We Are

A Cooperative Built by ODPP Staff, for ODPP Staff

ODPP Staff SACCO Ltd is a Multipurpose Savings and Credit Cooperative Society for staff of the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP). The SACCO was registered on 30th March 2015 under the name: Directorate of Public Prosecutions Staff Cooperative Society and granted a License by the Registrar of Cooperatives under Reg No. 12218/RCS.

The SACCO has since evolved to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) Staff Cooperative Society Ltd — licensed by the Uganda Microfinance Regulatory Authority (UMRA) under SACCO Licence No. 306/5C.

As a registered cooperative owned entirely by its members, ODPP Staff SACCO is dedicated to ensuring the financial independence of ODPP Staff through financial services carefully designed to reflect the values and objectives of our membership.

SACCO Founded — Registered under the Cooperative Societies Act (Reg No. 12218/RCS) on 30th March 2015.
2024
Presidential Pledge — First instalment of Presidential pledge (UGX 250M seed capital) secured for SACCO growth.
2025
UMRA Licence Obtained — Received official SACCO Licence (No. 306/5C) from the Uganda Microfinance Regulatory Authority.
2025
Centenary Bank Account Opened — Second banking relationship established as approved by the AGM.
2025
Digitalization Underway — SACCO took steps toward digitalizing financial operations for enhanced transparency and member accessibility.
